Prayer and counselling centre

Do you need someone to talk to or pray with you? At the Jatniël Prayer Centre, we offer support to the Christian community through prayer and counselling, free of charge.

Galatians 6:2 says: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfil the law of Christ.” (NIV)

Jatniël Prayer Centre is a walk-in prayer centre open weekdays during office hours from 8:30 to 16:00, as well as by prior arrangement. Any person who needs prayer, confession or spiritual guidance is welcome to come in without an appointment. There will be prayer warriors present to assist. A written prayer request can be submitted via the link below. We’d like feedback on answered prayers. A small testimony can be submitted via the testimonial link at the “contact us” page.

At the Prayer and Counselling Centre appointments are available for help with prayer requests, healing of emotional wounds, trauma counselling and bereavement counselling.

Rooted Youth & Kids

Children and youth are the future of the church, the body of Christ. These precious and vulnerable individuals need the best care, support and guidance one can give. Rooted Kids and Youth is the overarching umbrella of the Latter Rain Mission’s youth and children’s ministry that is rooted in the Word of God. The vision of Rooted Youth is “Knowing Christ and making Christ known” ensuring that the children and youth are grounded in this vision.

COH Impact Year

Rooted Impact year is a discipleship year that is aimed at empowering young people with the necessary tools to go out into the world as Christian warriors, rooted in Christ. This program is a gap year program in which the students complete a course, are involved with missionary work, volunteering and are empowered to grow spiritually.

Reign Riders

Reign Riders is a ministry that combines leisure with evangelizing, bringing glory to God on two wheels. It is a motorcycle group that aims at using their hobby to glorify God through outreach, awareness and fellowship. For further information follow the link below…

Training and workshops

The Latter Rain Mission aims to equip the members of our body with the necessary tools to encourage their spiritual growth. The body of Christ needs to become spiritually mature through learning, teaching, applying and sharing truths based on the Word of God.

Latter Rain Association for the Aged

Emmanuel is the ministry that specialises in the field of elderly care. This need was identified with the start of the Latter Rain Mission leading to Emmanuel Old Age Home being built in 1985. Their services are aimed at providing care to the frail and aged. Emmanuel is also actively involved in community outreach programs through which they deliver services to an estimated 300 elderly community members. For more information visit their website:

Covenant of Hope

The Covenant of Hope (CoH) is a non-profit company (Company Number: 2018/567251/08) with the sole purpose of carrying out the social responsibilities of the Latter Rain Mission. The main income source of the CoH is donations and the CoH is in the process of registering with SARS as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). This enables the CoH, according to the Income Tax Act (Act 58 of 1962), to provide Section 18A certificates to donors so that donations made to COH can be deducted from tax.

Different business units resort under the Covenant of Hope, each with its own purpose, vision, and management, reporting to the COH Board. Currently, COH has 6 business units. They are:

  • Reign Drivers Golf Club
  • Faith Divers
  • The Ark – Program for unemployment and housing
  • Congregational care and development in Bushbuckridge
  • Covenant of Hope for Children
  • Jabes Elderly Care

Mission Ministry

Called to GO and called to SERVE

God’s plan for us has always been a global one – “…Go and preach the Gospel to ALL NATIONS”. It is the ultimate will of God that everyone in this world hears the message of salvation, come to know Him, and be saved!

As the Latter Rain Mission International, we too have a role and a part to play, ensuring that the Word and the knowledge of God REACH the UNREACHED!

Our Mission center’s vision through constant prayer is that God will enable, equip, prepare and support missionaries in our church and throughout the world to fulfill their call for duty and service in the harvest of Christ.

When the Word of God says in Luke 9:35-38 that “…the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few…”, we know that in the world today, there are more than 4 billion people that belong to the most impoverished nations, of which over 2 billion has never…EVER…heard anything about Jesus! So if there has been any doubt in any of our minds as to the harvest and our calling, then we would like to encourage you with these words: THE LORD WANTS ALL OF US IN THE MISSION FIELD whether through prayer, giving, spiritual support, or active service as a missionary in the field – no matter the form of your participation, we are looking forward starting this journey alongside you!
